Comparison of the effect of Dapagliflozin and Pioglitazone on the risk of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women with Type-2 diabetes

Objective: Type 2 Diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and osteoporosis, which increase with age, are two common diseases different complications. The risk of fractures due to osteoporosis is 6 times higher in patients diabetes (DM). Medications used the treatment DM addition disease itself associated osteoporotic fractures. This study was planned examine effects pioglitazone dapagliflozin, T2DM, on development postmenopausal women.
 Methods: single-centre comparative conducted at Endocrine Metabolic Diseases Polyclinic a Hospital between April 15, 2019 2020, total 80 female diagnosis T2DM 20 control group, aged 50 70. participants were evaluated under four groups: “Control” without (n=20), “Pioglitazone” using (n=30), “Dapagliflozin” “Other Oral Antidiabetic” (n=20).
 Results: mean age 61.32±6.27 years. There no statistically significant difference groups hip waist T-score values (p>0.05). t-score intervention groups. Pioglitazone dapagliflozin determined not make bone mineral density values.
 Conclusion: Our revealed that can be individuals known other factors.
